26-EDD
Dot-Guide for 26-EDD instruments
26-EDD Fretboard is based on the formula (Scale_Length/(2^(x/26))). This EDD have the particularity of not contain in its regular structure the traditional Tone of 9/8 ratio, instead it have 2 options for lead the tone: 10/9 or 8/7 ratios, each interval in the steps 4 and 5 of 26-EDD with a tiny detour of error in its representativeness. A first form for dot-guiding a 26-EDD fretboard is, by the way, the common 2L3s spots :
The dots are in the places 7· 11· 15· 19· 26: 33· 37· 41· 45· 52: 59· denoting a scale of 2L3s 7;4 Relation, 7 4 4 4 7.

A second form for put the dot-guide on the fretboard, maybe like the 13-EDD scheme :
The dots are in the places 6· 10· 16· 20· 26: 32· 36· 42· 46· 52: 58· denoting a scale of 3L2s 6;4 Relation, 6 4 6 4 6.
Step | Purdal size | Cent size |
01 | 380,8 | 46.15 |
02 | 761,5 | 92.31 |
03 | 1142,3 | 138.46 |
04 | 1523,1 | 184.62 |

25 | 9519,2 | 1153.85 |
26\0: | 9900\0 | 1200\0 |
A third way for dot-guide is like the similar 14-EDD form :
The dots are in the places 5· 9· 13· 17· 21· 26: 31· 35· 39· 43· 47· 52: 57· denoting a scale of 2L4s 5;4 Relation, 5 4 4 4 4 5, perhaps denoting a better approach over the 26-EDD fretboard.
Step | Purdal size | Cent size |
01 | 380,8 | 46.15 |
02 | 761,5 | 92.31 |
03 | 1142,3 | 138.46 |
04 | 1523,1 | 184.62 |
05· | 1903,8 | 230.77 |
06 | 2284,6 | 276.92 |

25 | 9519,2 | 1153.85 |
26\0: | 9900\0 | 1200\0 |
Note that the 21st step denotes the 7/4 interval and its inverse 8/7 in the 5th step, both with a deviation of +- 3,4 Purdals (+- 0.4 Cents).
